Discover the 'real' Italy
Situated at the end of a private gravel road and surrounded by lawns and fruit trees, Ca' Stefioli is a restored stone farmhouse, offering peace, privacy and glorious views. Fully-equipped throughout, it can sleep up to 6 people.
There is no road noise here, just the birds in the trees, the bells from the churches across the valley and the occasional farmer’s tractor in the fields.
Guests can barbecue on the terrace by the old bread oven, or dine under the shaded pergola at the back of the house, with views across the valley to the village of Sant'Ippolito and spectacular sunsets.
There are many authentic and very reasonable restaurants in the hill-top villages all within 10-20 minutes’ drive from the house (we provide a list to guests). Barchi, a few minutes away by car, has ramparts, cobbled streets and a friendly local bar which offers delicious rustic food.
This is the "real" Italy - unspoilt and largely undiscovered by tourists. It has green, rolling countryside, culture in the renaissance city of Urbino and opera in Pesaro, birthplace of Rossini, which holds a music festival every August.
Safe beaches are 30 minutes away at the Roman port of Fano. There are beautiful walks from the house and hiking and bird-watching in nearby nature reserves.
Restored stone farmhouse, offering peace, privacy and glorious views
The house, restored in 2007, combines original character with modern comforts. The rooms are bright and airy, with a huge family bathroom and three spacious bedrooms on the top floor, offering amazing views over the valley. Downstairs, French windows open on to the long, shaded terrace at the back of the house, while the fully-equipped kitchen-diner has plenty of room for family meals. The house and its grounds are private and peaceful, with a large garden and fields all around the house, and the nearest neighbours 200 metres away.
The house is ideal both for romantic evenings, watching the sun set with a glass of wine, or family holidays. Children can enjoy outings to safe beaches, playing in the garden or roaming neighbouring fields - our garden isn't fenced.

Real history
Ca’ Stefioli and its communal bread oven was once the centre of village life before falling into ruin 60 years ago and later being carefully restored by its present owners.
Mass tourism has passed the local area by, so it preserves a very special friendliness and sense of old-world community.
